Wow, 2016 has been quite the busy, exciting, and adventurous year for our families.  It has been filled with so much joy and of course… some hardship.  We have had lots of laughing, crying (8 children), typing, and LOVE.  We are so appreciative of our families, friends, and all who support us in this journey we are on.  Here is our BESTS of 2016:

In January all of my family headed off onto our first and definitely not last Disney cruise.  It was absolutely perfect.  The kids were entertained the entire time and the adults had plenty of quiet time as well as the perfect amount of family time.  We missed Ashton and her family as she was 8 months pregnant.  Wishing we were starting 2017 off on that same ‘boat’.

Ashton’s third child was born in February and although she missed the cruise, Asher was well worth it.  He came in struggling a little, you can read more of her birth story HERE.  What an absolute joy and breeze he has been since his birth.

February was a month my family had been waiting for for the past 13 months.  We were able to finalize the adoption of our fourth child.  To read more on the foster and adoption process of Heath, go here.  What an amazing day this was.

Two days later we were able to make Heath a part of our family for Time and Eternity.  We were able to take him to the LDS temple and have him sealed to us.  This day was full of all the feels.  A day that will be etched in my mind forever.  Here is my post.

April brought Million Ways to Mother.  What a wonderful journey Ashton and I have been on since we launched this site.  We have learned so much and are so grateful for all those who have supported us and can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.

Ashton’s husband opened up a new water sports company in May.  It did so well his first summer opening and couldn’t be more happy.

July brought quite the unexpected BUT most amazing surprise to my family.  We received the call that Heath’s birth mother had another child and wanted us to take her.  WOW were we blown out of the water.  Charlee came into our life and although we were shocked, she has been exactly what we needed.  It was as though she was always supposed to be here.  Read more here.

My daughter Hadlee was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in August.  She looked beautiful and we are so proud of her decision.  She has turned into the most loving, responsible, and spiritual child.

We are so grateful for all that 2016 brought us, 2 births, 1 adoption, Million Ways to Mother, new businesses, and lots of LOVE. We are praying for an even better 2017 with a fewer births (hehe).  We wish you all a wonderful, happy, and successful 2017.
