This inexpensive girls bedroom makeover would work for tween girl bedroom or teen bedroom makeovers.
Does your tween girl’s bedroom in need of a dire makeover? My little girl recently got to move downstairs, get her own room, and turned 11! This all meant it was time for a MAKEOVER! I was so excited to decorate my daughter’s room not so “pink” and a little more “teen.” We decided on blush, black, gold, with small accents of turquoise. And to get my husband excited to help with makeover… we added some techy stuff too.

I had seen these flowers a few places and knew they HAD to make an appearance in her room. Aren’t they fabulous?? You can contact @amandaleighwood on Instagram for some for your room or any event. She can customize in any color for your needs or wants.
This bedroom was pretty inexpensive and not too hard. I purchased a white metal bed from Amazon and painted it (well, my husband painted it) gold and I loved how it turned out. When I was looking for a gold bed they were out of my price range. But, if you are looking I am OBSESSED with this one.
To really make the surprise happen, we wanted to make the room as ‘Smart’ as we could. So we started with an Amazon Dot. No tween girl bedroom makeover is complete without it. This allows her to ask and tell Alexa whatever she wants. It’s so cute to hear her ask while she is setting her clothes out, “Alexa, what’s the weather like tomorrow?”
The Amazon Dot also allows us to link the Phillips Hue set so her lights can be turned on, off, and dimmed with just asking her virtual friend Alexa.
Now we debated with the idea of putting her own TV in her room. The parental decision of allowing a child to have their own TV and to be able to monitor what was being viewed. We ultimately justified the decision to do so, since her bedroom was near the family room and kitchen. We knew it would be a great place for the kids to hang.
Prior to starting, my daughter and I had started a Tween Spaces Pinterest board to start getting the creative juices flowing. Hop over for some inspo!
Which little girl doesn’t love to either put up pictures of their friends or hang up their prized possessions. Because I am a little anal retentive and wanted it all looking just perfect I got a pin board for her to add any of her own stuff right to that board.
Because of the lighting in the room, these pictures don’t even do it justice. It is so cute and perfect for a tween or teen girl!
